Why is America, the coalition and Pakistani Army unable to crack down Taliban??? Who is Supporting Taliban?
I am totally confused why can’t these people stop Taliban from getting stronger and more organized day by day? More than 20 thousand US soldiers with thousands of NATO forces and Afghan National Army on the Afghanistan side can’t get a hold of Taliban while 70 thousand Pakistani soldiers on the other side of the border in the tribal belt seem to be useless too.
The Taliban are striking in Afghanistan and Pakistan with all their might and determination, who is supporting them? Where’s all this money and logistic support coming from?
Guys we don’t want the Taliban back in Afghanistan. What I believe is that if US and the coalition really want business and removal of Taliban they can do it but the main players seem to be reluctant to finish the game at this point. Its just ridiculous to see the failures of these forces with the technology and military might to lose against Taliban.

The problem lies in the fact that the Taliban are hiding on the Pakistan/Afghanistan border on the Pakistan side. This is kind of “Indian Territory” and those in that area give refuge to the Taliban because they support them. The allied forces are forbidden to cross into Pakistan.
Musharrif has problems internally. He has so many factions within Pakistan who support the Taliban, and many of them are in his army and intelligence services. He has to be able to take these groups down, as well as not cause strife within his own country. A very delicate balancing act. The only thing the Pakistan Army has been able to do is keep the Taliban somewhat contained at the border. The Taliban make incursions into Afghanistan, and usually end up dying in the process. It’s going to be a long and drawn out guerilla war, until Pakistan allows allied forces to enter the border territory and settle this issue with the Taliban once and for all.
