How should I handle the first meeting of my Bible study?
So this week is the first meeting of the women in my study I started Bible. I think that about 6 women to come, maybe a little "more if they are lucky. I need advice! Really I have to dive into the material? (We are using Noom video of Rob Bell). I just had a prayer, maybe a game to get to know and see a video of Noom (10 minutes) and then talk, pray again, and go home. It 's too much for a first meeting? The people see what it is. This is what you need help: 1. What are some good games that could play to know each other? I need to play typical icebreaker. 2. What are some psalms and prayers of the Bible in terms of new beginnings?
After a warm welcome, to know you, just hang out before entering. Some icebreakers are lame, especially created for students of 7 or 8 that were transferred uncritically in a young adults (young adults as a pastor, I believe, often happens …! There are a couple of those in your reply ….). Six people is a great (GREAT!) size of a time (the time, eventually) intimate discussions on the topics mentioned in Rob. Assuming that young adults are (From previous questions on this subject) and has taken the time to understand a bit on the phone when they come, ask questions more suited to conversation before (s) for each of them allows to know which are important to you. Maybe not in dispute that would be to bring people together. And the food! Tasty Snacky, "You're an important guest and honored to have this meeting" (a "wedding feast of the Angels" Los Angeles, in terms of quality) types of food always goes conversations, and create a wonderful taste in the mouth and heart (a la "The Word of God is sweeter than honey from the comb") partly because the effort of cooking for some say that you are interested. S arguments that Rob brings up are personal and accessible. You to create a space full of grace through prayer first hand (even before the first guest arrived), and trust that God the Holy Spirit is present among their children – who they are and to find – God moves in their subtle, hidden, so quiet, its light shines in the hearts of its people and environment.
