Zombieland takes place in a post-apocalyptic America in which there was a zombie apocalypse caused by a virulent form of mad cow disease adapted humans.
Columbus College students (Jesse Eisenberg) is his way of Columbus, Ohio, to see if their parents are alive. He loses his car in an accident and is in Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson). They travel together and when they stop at a shop, meet two sisters, Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin). Through a scam, sisters manage to steal their weapons and trucks. The two men on foot and soon found a truckload of weapons Hummer H2. Then, meet girls again, trying to take the Hummer, but Columbus is proposing a truce.
Colombo said in Wichita will go home in Columbus, Ohio, but she exclaims that was razed to the ground and is invaded by zombies. He decides instead to stay with the group. Wichita Colombo says it is leading to Little Rock "Playland Pacific in Los Angeles, an amusement park said to be zombie-free.
On the road to the park, passing through Tallahassee and Hollywood decides to make a home of Bill Murray. Tallahassee and Wichita meet Murray, uninfected but disguised as a zombie make-up so you can walk quietly among those infected. In the film, Murray home theater displays of Columbus Little Rock, Ghostbusters when Murray tries to scare Colombo and Little Rock, as a joke, Columbus shoots and kills him, thinking he's a zombie.
After a funeral of luck, Tallahassee reveals who lost her son to the zombies; Wichita begins to develop feelings of Columbus. Fearful attachment, Wichita leaves Little Rock Playland Pacific. Columbus Wichita decided to go after, and he and his sisters in Tallahassee exercise vehicle Murray.
Wichita and Little Rock to the Pacific and open Playland all the rides and lights, which attracts nearby zombies. A battle follows, leaving the sisters caught in a drop tower ride and short of ammunition. Tallahassee Columbus is like ammunition 'sisterhood is exhausted. Tallahassee manages to attract more off, then deliberately crashes into a game booth, Colombo while going after the sisters. Columbus kept the girls and thanks, Wichita reveals his true name (Krysta) to him. The two share their first kiss. Tallahassee eliminates the only remaining zombies. Columbus concludes that it is the only family needs, and the dismissal of four Pacific Playland together.
