What specs should i get when i buy a new computer i play lots of games?
I’m going to buy a new computer soon and I want to know what website to buy from and what specs i should get. I will mostly be playing games like the sims 2, runescape, world of warcraft etc. I am going to spend about £500-700 including the monitor (which i also need to know what a good monitor is). It can be a desktop or laptop
I will also be using it for college work and i wil need word, excel and access
For gaming get a desktop not a laptop as in most cases a laptop can not be upgraded like a desktop can. If you do buy a laptop make sure it got the specs you want because again most laptops can not be upgraded.
For gaming spec wise get a good & fast dual core & not a quad core CPU.
Get at least 2GB of RAM if running Windows XP & at least 4GB of RAM if running Windows Vista.
At this time for gaming its better to run Windows XP rather than Vista. Also get the best & newest video card you can afford. Get 1 with 512mb RAM & SHADERMODEL 3.0 or better yet 4.0.
A Nvidia 8800gtx is a great card or an ATI HD 2900xt will work just fine as well.
